With over 130 years experience, Crockett & Jones have been producing shoes of the finest quality since 1879.

Founded by brothers-in-law James Crockett and Charles Jones, Crockett being a shoe maker by trade and Jones coming from a substantial family of shoe makers himself, Crockett & Jones was established in the shoe making capital of Northamptonshire. The pair brought forward a long history of shoe making knowledge and together they weaved a production that expanded to be greater than anyone could have imagined.

The company survived through two World Wars, during which they crafted over six thousand pairs a year in World War I, and over a million during the course of World War II to provide for troops over the stretch of war. Aiding the war effort during this time cemented a firm reputation for the company. In the years following the war, footwear fashion moved on to incorporate various styles, leading to fourth generation family member Charles Jones to join the company and push the exclusive use of only the highest quality materials within the production of their designs.  This came to be the company’s trademark and to this day Crockett & Jones still produces a number of staple designs.

The family is an important aspect of the business, and 135 years later, the business is still family owned and run by 5th generation family of the founders. They remain as one of the last British shoemakers that stay in production to this day, bearing a ‘Made in Britain’ stamp proudly on all of their work. A great attention to detail partnered with a foundation of quality has seen Crockett & Jones provide footwear to famous clients such as The Prince of Wales and even James Bond, cementing themselves as the British classic in the luxury shoe market.
