There's also the historic Blair Castle, which is open for guided tours between March and October. One of the most spectacular castles in Perthshire, Blair Castle is an intriguing slice of Scottish history that offers a unique experience of Scotland's past and present.
Then there's the Crannog on nearby Loch Tay, which is a faithful recreation of an ancient Scottish stilt-raised water dwelling, of a type which was once common throughout the Perthshire area. Originally built in the Iron Age, crannogs were surprisingly sophisticated in their construction and the new reconstruction is a truly remarkable achievement.
