Roe Doe Head by David Cemmick
The incredible keenness of observation and attention to detail evident in this piece are a testament to the skill and experience of sculptor David Cemmick. A lost wax cast in bronze, this hauntingly realistic work is number 23 of a run of 24 limited editions by Cemmick and Wylder, and looks set to only increase in value in the future.
About the Artists
Cemmick and Wylder Fine Art was established in 2005 by wildlife artist David Cemmick and mould maker Sebastian Wylder, and since then over 100 of David’s wax masters have been transformed into bronze and sterling silver pieces that have been gratefully received by collectors across the world.
The pair work from a small hamlet in the foothills of the Pennines, bordering England’s picturesque Lake District, with David creating the master sculptures which Sebastian then moulds. The moulds in turn are then passed on to a small group of foundries in various locations across the globe who use their own unique skills to create lost wax limited editions.
