About the House of Bruar

The House of Bruar is Scotland’s premiere luxury retail destination showcasing the very best in Scottish country clothing, fresh produce, fine art and homeware at our 11-acre Perthshire site ten miles North of Pitlochry.

Known as ‘the Harrods of the North’, we have established our reputation thanks to an insistence on high-quality goods sourced from world-renowned suppliers and unsurpassed levels of customer service.

Founded more than two decades ago and still family owned to this day, The House of Bruar’s commitment to quality has remained undimmed, with a passion for premium natural fibres and rich, evocative colours that reflect the expressive moods and whims of the surrounding environment.

For many, no trip to Scotland is complete without visiting ‘The Home of Country Clothing’, and as the business has grown visitor levels have risen to over 1.7 million per year.

For customers who can’t visit in person our E-commerce and direct shopping operations help to take The House of Bruar’s brand of refined country style to a whole new audience.

Our extensive and varied retail operation encompasses an expansive Ladies and Menswear Halls; the largest Knitwear Hall in Britain; a Food Hall bursting with the best of Scotland’s natural larder, complete with restaurant, delicatessen and award-winning butchery; a rural Art Gallery featuring works from some of the UK’s finest wildlife artists; a Fishing Department staffed by knowledgeable angling experts; and a Country Living department and Present Shop with everything imaginable for the country home and garden.
