About the Artist
Born in 1974 in Wales, Justin Prigmore's life and career has revolved around travel and an appreciation for the natural world. In tandem with his work as one of the UK's leading wildlife painters, he also has a Masters Degree in Ecology, which he puts to good use in his role as a Cairngorms Nature Officer.
His love of animals and the great outdoors has taken his as far afield as Canada, Alaska, Kenya and Tanzania, as well as extended trips to several US national parks. His international exhibits have attracted a great deal of attention, especially in the States, where he has been elected as a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists.
Some of the many awards Justin has received for his work throughout his career include the Best British Wildlife award at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art in 2010, Birdwatch Artist of the Year, Wildscape Artist of the Year (Editor's Selection) and being selected by jury for the prestigious "Wild in de Natuur" exhibition in Holland.
