More familiarly known as a beret shape, the Alloa hat actually has a similar style to the traditional Scottish Tam O' Shanter, especially in how it has a tiny pompom at the crown. A wrap around Fairisle design adorns the main body of the hat, and the intricate, unbroken circular pattern is a beautiful example of knitwear craftsmanship. Made from luxuriously soft merino wool, this hat is cosy as well as being imbued with Scottish charm, making it perfect for winter styling.

About Merino Wool
Known as the softest of all wools, merino is sourced from merino sheep, a breed which originated in mediaeval Spain. The fineness of wool is measured in microns, with typical thicknesses of 29 to 35 microns. Merino is usually 22 microns thick and can be much finer, explaining its sublimely soft handle.
