Named after the remote Shetland island of Vaila, this ladies Eribe lace crew neck offers a delicate Scottish design in luxurious merino wool.
Taking inspiration from the fine knit vintage shawls made in Shetland, the Vaila lace jumper is adorned with an intricate design of stitches that provide a pattern of texture rather than colour. The yoke of the raglan shaping boasts a pattern that is quintessentially Eribe knitwear in its bold Fairisle-like design. Crafted from premium merino wool, this jumper is both incredibly soft and lightweight which is complemented by the airy pointelle knit design elements. Finished by ribbing with scalloped edging, this jumper brings textural charm and knitwear heritage to what is bound to become a wardrobe staple.

About Merino Wool
Known as the softest of all wools, merino is sourced from merino sheep, a breed which originated in mediaeval Spain. The fineness of wool is measured in microns, with typical thicknesses of 29 to 35 microns. Merino is usually 22 microns thick and can be much finer, explaining its sublimely soft handle. It's also a superb insulator, often used in high-performance layers for outdoor sports.
