Since we opened in 1995, our store has continued to grow and expand into what we are today and we are proud to hold our values close. With our emphasis being on quality and provenance, we make sure that all of our clothing and products are produced to the highest possible standards and that we deliver an outstanding and unique service across all aspects of our business.

We have come a long way from our humble roots and we would not be where we are today without the unwavering energy and dedication of the team here at The House of Bruar as well as our customers all of whom wholeheartedy embrace the country way of life.
Our roots lie firmly in the rural lifestyle, so if you want to build your complete country wardrobe then you'll find we have everything you could possibly require.

We stock everything from our own House of Bruar knitwear ranges and exclusively designed tweeds to the best outdoor technical clothing and sporting brands

We stock everything from our own House of Bruar knitwear ranges and exclusively designed tweeds to the best outdoor technical clothing and sporting brands to ensure that you can enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer in superior comfort and style.

We are passionate about supporting local and British businesses, and we are especially committed to working with some of the UK's last remaining woollen mills including Bronte and Abraham Moon. Our award-winning Food Hall places great emphasis upon provenance and stocks some of the most unique and delicious items from the British Isles, while our in-house butchery only sells meat from local estates, the quality of which has led to us winning numerous awards.

Producing the highest quality garments is the focus throughout our product design and selection process. We work tirelessly to ensure you get the best products at affordable prices, whether that be a jumper, a pair of shoes, a pot of honey or a steak pie, and we make sure that we only offer brands which do not compromise on quality

Our location at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands is hugely influential to our brand. We are proud to reflect this beautiful country and its people and do our best to represent Scottish brands and producers as much as possible. From the glorious panoply of colours we offer to our luxurious fabric choices, every aspect of our clothing range is influenced by Scotland's rich heritage and spectacular countryside. These factors have shaped our company into what it is today and will continue to guide us in the future as we expand and evolve.

Family is at the heart of our business, and extends throughout all those who have worked for us and are still with us. As the business grows, so does the House of Bruar family. Founded by the Birkbecks, The House of Bruar started small, and with the passion and ambition of both the family and our employees it has steadily grown in to what it is today.
