Overlooking Pitlochry itself is the imperious Ben Vrackie, a craggy mountain that can be scaled relatively easily thanks to its well-made cobbled path that reaches right up to the summit, from which you can survey a truly stunning panoramic view. Perthshire and Pitlochry have a huge number of clearly marked trails and walks to suit all levels of experience and ability.
For more sedentary types, the Pitlochry Festival Theatre offers an ongoing programme of cultural events that have earned acclaim from visitors from all over the world.
