Practical and warm, this ladies heavy merino pocket jacket is a substantial merino wool layer ideal for country walks.
A jacket in heavy merino strikes an easy balance between knitwear and a traditional tweed coat, offering warmth in a refined casual style. Merino wool naturally adapts to changing temperatures, keeping it comfortable to wear throughout the day, while the heavier knit gives it enough substance for crisp autumn mornings and colder winter weather. Practical pockets add to its everyday appeal, making it a reliable layer for both town and country wear.

About Merino Wool
Known as the softest of all wools, merino is sourced from merino sheep, a breed which originated in mediaeval Spain. The fineness of wool is measured in microns, with typical thicknesses of 29 to 35 microns. Merino is usually 22 microns thick and can be much finer, explaining its sublimely soft handle. It's also a superb insulator, often used in high-performance layers for outdoor sports.
