Product description
Medium: Oil
Dimensions: H53cm x W63cm
About the Artist:
Alastair Proud has been at the forefront of British wildlife art for over thirty years. Born and raised in Dublin, Alastair moved to Wales to attend the Carmarthen School of Art in 1974, where his talent was soon recognised by The Society of Wildlife Artists, who displayed some of his work in their annual show while he was still a student.
Alastair's keen interest in nature informed and inspired his artistic studies, which led to an association with The Society of Wildlife Artists which continues to this day. After that first exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, Alastair became a full member of the society in 1986, and has been active in their yearly exhibitions ever since.
After finding great popular success with a series of books on British wildfowl and birds of prey, his work has become highly sought after by enthusiasts of wildlife art, with over 40 of his paintings in the collections of royalty throughout the world.
