About the Artist:
Born in 1956, Bryan Hanlon is an internationally respected wildlife artist who lives and works in rural Wiltshire, surrounded by the wildlife and scenery that plays such a large role in his artistic life.
While relatively new to sculpture, Bryan has tackled the medium with the same keen eye and lightness of touch that has made his name as a landscape, portrait and sporting painter. Best known for his meticulously-rendered bird paintings, Bryan has exhibited widely in the UK and throughout the world, with both one-man and joint exhibitions in the Tryon Gallery, the Brian Sinfield Gallery, World of Watercolours in London and at the Birds in Art Exhibition in the US.
In addition to having been Artist in Residence at Wallsworth Hall in Gloucester and teaching at Marlborough College Summer School, Bryan has also travelled widely through Europe, America and most recently Africa, where his experiences with the native wildlife led him to create his first book, entitled "Birds and Beasts Africa".
