Product description
This pimento saucisson is a traditionally-made cured meat with a wonderfully rustic flavour. The curing of meat was common during Roman times. It is thought that the Roman Charcutiers taught the Gauls their skills in return for their prized pigs fed with acorns. The saucissons are a remnant of the past, its making kept going till present times and can be found in many formerly Romanized countries surrounding the Mediterranean.
Our main producer, Ets Chillet, based in Lugdunum, Lyon as we know it today, takes great pride in delivering a highly traditional range of cured meats.

We pride ourselves on the freshness of our produce, so all Food Hall items are sent by a 24 hour delivery service (by Parcel Force Next Day) at a cost of £9.95. Please place your order before 11am Sunday – Wednesday. Orders will then be despatched the next working day. Deliveries are made Tuesday-Friday, so orders placed on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be despatched on the following Monday. Available to UK customers only.
